What a brat!

I let Brent use my camera on Friday while we were at Bogus and he and Katie were skiing. Well he must have gotten board so he started looking through my pictures. I don't know what he was thinking but he got to my wedding dress so he has now seen it. It was several, several pictures back so he obviously looked through a lot before he got to it. I can't believe he did that. DORK! Good thing I love him.

The next event

The next event leading to Brent and I getting together isn't a joyful one but it was the next moment in our story.

Last year in May I went over to hang out at Stephanie's house, something that was a frequent occurrence and she told me some sad news she had receive. Brent's brother David and three of his daughters were in a horrible car accident that resulted in the death of everyone in the car except one daughter. Brent's sister-in-law, Emily, was at home at the time with their baby so those two were ok and the surviving daughter was in critical condition. I was heartbroken for this women I didn't know and wanted to do something. Since I didn't know her but did vaguely know Brent I decided to send him a sympathy card. Now I felt a little stupid about this action and didn't want anyone to think that I had ulterior motives so it took me a little while to actually go through with sending it. I actually brought two cards and sent the second one to a lady in my ward that lost her husband around the same time just to make myself feel like this was a common practice for myself. I also wrote my message out on a piece of paper trying to think of something that could possibly be of comfort, while not sounding like I had an ulterior motive, before I actually wrote the message on the card and mailed it. Stephanie told me that Brent had gotten a job out of the state so I looked the story up online to get his last name (yep, I didn't even remember his last name) and then used anywho.com to find his last Idaho address. There was no way I was going to ask anyone for his address and let my actions be known. I figured if I got the correct address the post office would forward it and if I didn't I at least tried.

I received in the mail today the letter from the First Presidency canceling my sealing to my ex-husband. Brent and I can now make a date at the Boise temple for our sealing to each other.

What's Mine is mine or maybe DI's

I have been going through my apartment, cleaning packing etc. and I keep wondering how much of my stuff is actually going to make it back to Boise. I am assuming in the end I will show up on Karla's door step with a suit case or two, if I am lucky. But as I call and ask about this or that and if I should bring it home, the answer is generally, no. I think that the local Deseret Industries is going to receive most of my apartment. I really don't want to pay to bring something back home if we are not going to keep it. my couch and love seat are already gone. I have a bunch of furniture I made back in high school and college, it is quite fashionable if you have an old 70's style of water bed in the house, which I grew up with. Karla wants nothing to do with em. I also have some oak CD and DVD racks I made, and two beautiful Alder bookshelve/display shelves in my house in Emmett. All things I might of had a chance to keep if we had a bigger house but things I think will get gifted to family and friends. or DI. I have taken pictures of most stuff so Karla can reject them, I mean review them and I am thinking of putting some on here to see if any readers would want them. maybe I could actually find out how many people read this thing.

Love ya Karla, glad your decorating sense is better than mine.

The Things you say when dating

Brent came up this weekend but I had agreed to take some drivers to Sun Valley for work to earn some overtime so we spent half of our day together in the car. My brother Aaron and Brent have been discussing the lack of available gun ammunition recently since Obama took office. In my crazy love struck state that happens prior to marriage not only did the thought that he might have better luck finding ammunition in Sun Valley or some other small town area but I also suggested it out loud. We couldn't find an acceptable sporting goods store in Sun Valley but Brent did think of Mountain Home so we stopped on the way back to Boise and he is now the proud owner of some ammunition... and so will be my brother when I get around to dropping it off.

What am I thinking, how will I live up to such thoughtfulness after marriage when I am not starved for his attention since he will be around all the time. How will I ever counter act such a thought to ensure he feels me a mean and selfish wife that he will regret marrying? What is a girl to do, now he will think I am thoughtful and caring of his predilictions.
