Here's the blog dedicated to everyone's high school infatuation with Brent and Karla! Yep.. this will be fun!

Picking up the slack

I keep telling Brent he needs to post our latest happenings but if you can't tell by the lack of posts... he has ignored me. So here I am again to give you the dirt. But first, seriously, comment, make me feel loved by replying to my diatribes.

As you know, Brent came and surprised me for Christmas which was great. Over the weekend my dad and Joyce had their farewell for their mission down in Utah. The weather wasn't great on Friday so I am very thankful that Brent was here and willing to drive us to and from Utah for this trip. While we were there Brent got to meet all of my family. Since there are a total of 20 members to my family this was easily accomplished. Everyone seemed to like him and from what I can tell he liked them as well. Before we left on Sunday he and my father disappeared for a few minutes where it is my understanding Brent approached the subject of marrying me with my dad. I know this meant a lot to my dad since he declared afterward that I was getting a good man with Brent. Part of me wonders if Brent now ranks a little higher on the scales with my dad than I do... just kidding:)

The biggest news of the week can be titled "HE WENT TO JARED'S", anyone that lives within range of a Jared's Jewelery store will understand that one. I picked out some rings that I liked on Monday and yesterday Brent went and looked at them. As much as I wanted some sort of surprises with this I did end up in the jewelery store with him yesterday solidifying which ring will turn into my wedding ring. As best I can tell Brent even ordered the ring and bought it. It needed to be sized and the center stone needed to be placed so we left the store without any rings in hand.

So now permission has been given on each side from parents for this union (I figured I should ask Peggy since Brent asked my dad - Vince), rings have been purchased (I put money down on a ring for Brent... even though he can't make up his mind what he wants). Katie is on board for it - amazing, and now Brent just needs to actually ask me if I will marry him.

On one hand I really wanted to be surprised when he decided to ask me but now that I know he has gotten the ring I REALLY WANT IT! :)

The Best Christmas Gift

As I pulled up to my house tonight and opened the garage I not only found a car already in my garage but Brent as well. This time around his work decided to give everyone Friday off and let them off early today so he won't even get in trouble. He went to work for about an hour this morning and spent the rest of the day driving to Boise to surprise me! It was great. His brother Kevin knew he was coming but no one else in the family knew so it was a surprise for them as well when I finally let him leave and he went home to Peggy and the gang.

Happy Birthday to Brent

So I am a few days behind with this post but Brent turned 36 on Wednesday. While he was up here this past weekend we celebrated his birthday with his family. As I was on my way over to his mom's for a birthday dinner, present in hand (a bluetooth) he called excited to let me know that his new car had hands-free capabilities. So when I showed up I didn't know what to do for him for his birthday. When I told him what I had bought him his sister responded that she had bought him the same thing for his Christmas present - great minds think a like! In the end she and I traded bluetooths and she is now using the one I bought for Brent and I am using the one she bought for him.

The following day he and I stopped at Circuit City and I simply told him to pick out that gift he kept telling me he would like and I would pay for it, lame I know but I don't think I would have ever gotten it right. Well since I felt so lame and I hated the fact that he would be by himself for his birthday after he left I baked a few goodies and made him a card. I didn't get them in the mail until Tuesday though and he doesn't pick up his mail every day so he only got that surprise today. He seemed to like the surprise though, which I am glad for and I told him that from now on he would just have to be with me to celebrate his birthday.

Mugs are back

I picked up the mugs today. I think they turned out pretty well. Brent has been dying to see his, I think he was more excited about it than Katie:)

Aren't girls fun - lol!

This post really has very little to do with my relationship with Brent other than the fact that I am amazed he hangs around the craziness that comes with my life.

Katie had her school Christmas program tonight. As soon as we got home she quickly set to getting ready for the event... that didn't start for another 70 minutes. While I knew she was in my bathroom with the door shut talking to friend I assumed she was still doing her hair. When I finally opened the door I found that she had granted herself permission to wear all my make-up. While she didn't do a horrible job putting it on I wasn't pleased to have my 5th grader going to a public event with that much make up on. I decided however to let it go and instead warn her not to do it again or she would be made to wash it off before leaving the house.

Next on Katie's must have list apparently was my jewelry. She had her sights set on wearing some of my nicer earrings... which happened to still be in my ears. Again I was gracious and let her wear them. As time approached for us to leave we hit my breaking point when she walked out wearing my heels. At this one I put my foot down. Not only does she not need to wear heels she also has no business wearing anything that is opened toed when it is only 14 degrees out and there is snow on the ground, not to mention we don't wear the same size.

This was met with whines and complaints about how horrible I was. Why my daughter has decided to hit the teenage attitude when she has yet to reach 11 I don't know but if she hopes to reach 11 I have advised her to do a little better. Of course the interesting part of having a girl is the fact that the moment she saw me after her performance she was all smiles and hugs and didn't seem to even remember the previous displeasure she felt toward having such a mother as me. To all of you with boys, tonight - I am jealous!

Do you see a resemblence?

Hal decided to take a picture of Emily and I sitting together. Apparently they say we resemble each other, what do you think?
I found this picture of Emily on the Coburn family website and I do have to admit when I saw this one I thought that if I didn't know better it could be me. Apparently many of the Coburns have commented that they think we not only look similar but also talk similar.

A few pictures to recap our weekend together

We went to breakfast at Brent's brother's house, Mark. While we were there I decided to help Hal get an embarrassing picture of Brent. This picture was followed with Brent trying to put me in a headlock and we gave everyone a show as I fought that one off. I left the match unscathed, Brent left with a rug burn on his forehead. I am scrappier than he knew.

To round off our Saturday with the Coburns we had dinner at The Olive Garden. Thankfully they we forgiving of Brent and me being more than 20 minutes late. On of the features on Brent's new car is hand-free calling so he left his phone in his car and none of the Coburns have my phone number so we didn't know what time dinner was and when Brent did finally check his messages he was with Johnny and I was at home getting ready to be out in public so he didn't have a way to tell me.

Hal is always looking to get the best picture he can and asking us to set up the scene for that. He decided it would be picture worthy to have Brent feed me, of course Brent thought it would be more fun to pull the fork away as I was trying to take a bit.

It was a fun weekend though with Brent and his family. I am especially grateful that not only did Katie get to spend time with us and Brent's family but that Brent is so eager to include her in everything when possible. The Coburns were welcoming to both Katie and me- I feel pretty lucky.

Brent's new car

Please notice the BSU magnet is already in its place of honor, somethings never change:) The new car is great, I hope Brent doesn't have buyers remorse. My top 2 favorite features: heated seats and the red accents on the interior. Good thing for Brent that he looked at other qualities when making his purchase decision.

Artist for a day

Brent's favorite birthday tradition is to paint a mug for his birthday. Over the last 10 years he has had the opportunity to fulfill this "tradition" 4 times. Thankfully this year he was able to go to Artist for a Day and quickly paint a blue mug with the Smith & Wesson logo - how surprising. For those of you that are wondering BSU was done during a previous "tradition" year.

We arrived at the store at 7:40PM to a disgruntled worker who tried her best to get us to leave since there was only an hour and 20 minutes left before the store closed. To her dismay we carried on and became the thorn in her side better known as patrons.

Katie had fun painting a mug in the shape of a Santa head. In an attempt at kindness toward our gracious customer service representative Karla jumped in and helped Katie add additional coats to her master piece after she put the initial coloring on. Though we worked at a tiring pace we did unfortunately finish our master pieces at 9:05PM, five minutes after closing.

We did learn the secret to this poor employees heart before we left when a father walked in with his toddler at 20 minutes to closing and our young saint didn't even bat an eye at letting him sit down to struggle through his work.

We all had fun, and thankfully Brent didn't even complain when the time came to pay the bill and Karla graciously allowed him to pay for his birthday present. What a good man, I think I will keep him around.

The costs that come with long distance dating

Karla texted me today and informed me that my Verizon bill will be just slightly less than 120 dollars this month. that is pretty outrageous considering that my plan only cost about 40. I guess I will just have to make one less trip to Boise this month to recoup my costs. Unless someone decides to cover the overage.

The perplexities that come with long distance dating

The 8 hour drive between Vernal and Boise definitely doesn't make getting to know each other in the traditional fashion easy. Since we cannot see how the other person is in common day to day settings Brent has grown to enjoy being on the phone with me and listening as I am doing something to see how I handle the day to day stuff.

Yesterday we made small talk while I was putting up Christmas lights on the outside of my house. While I am not sure that it earns me any brownie points for Brent to hear the occasional expletive slip from my mouth as I walked into the gas meter because I wasn't watching where I was walking or the time I dropped my screw driver (that I was using like a hammer) while I was sitting on the top of the roof. He seemed to enjoy himself and thanks to the miracle of a headset I didn't kill myself by talking on the phone while on a ladder or perched on the roof.

Brent????

I'm just saying...

Poor Brent!

Brent is going to kill me for this one but... I guess I will just hope he loves me enough to simply laugh.

I was talking with one of my friends tonight about the guy she is dating. Now he is a super nice guy but rather shy so he hasn't put any moves on her as of yet. Well my 10 year old, Katie, looks at both of us and confesses that she doesn't understand what is taking this guy so long because Brent is moving as fast as a cheetah. I laughed so hard!

Unfortunately for Brent Katie caught us kissing in the living room the night he first kissed me... the first kiss was not at my house incase you are wondering. She promptly announced that seeing us kiss was simply "sick and wrong"... I am guess I am lucky he ever called again. I really should have had the patience to wait for that follow-up kiss until I was sure she was asleep.

Addicted to the Coburns

Brent told me his log on for his family's blog and I am just addicted to it. I have been working my way through the old post, looking at the pictures and reading the comments. They are a great family. I realized I can even look at it from work which probably isn't a good thing. In between interviews today I was eagerly reading as much as I could. Trying my best to figure out which name belonged to which person and which child belonged to which parent. I am not sure I will ever get that done. So far I think I have only read about 4 months of post, maybe even less but it has taken hours to get through. I told Brent today that they are all so good looking and talented that I don't know what I would have to offer them aside from my ability to make him laugh... after all I am rather goofy!

Dating Hangover

I totally have a dating hangover today. For those of you that are wondering what that is, well it is the dull ache in your head that comes from lack of sleep over a prolonged period of time. I can't believe how little sleep Brent can run on.

Well the meeting of the parents went well. My dad was impressed with Brent sighting his firm handshake, direct eye contact and warm smile as good qualities. I think he won Joyce over the moment he smiled and said hello. Dad and Brent ended up in the Prius for a few minutes while my dad gushed over one of his current fascination and Brent listened and asked more questions. Joyce and I stood out side and laughed at them the whole time.

The funnest moment of last night as Brent meet my family... When we showed up at the church Brent went immediately to the men's room and when my brother Aaron saw me by myself he loudly asked me where my "boyfriend was" just as Brent walked in and responded "right here." I am not sure who turned the darkest shade of red at that moment but those of us watching sure got a good laugh over it.

All in all things are going great. These past few days are the longest we have been around each other with our obvious hurdle of living so far apart and it was so much fun. He makes me laugh and I know he at least likes to laugh at all my blonde moments.

Competition for Jill?

I know this is not B&K related but I couldn't help but post this pic from last night. Since Bill has dropped the lbs, the ladies find him quite appealing. Jill, I wouldn't let him out of your sight!

Time for an update

Yeah, I have no great title for this one, too many different topics. Like I said I had a lot of fun with Brent's family. We have a few more hours before he meets some of mine and I sure hope they are as friendly as the Coburn's have been too me. While I have no doubt that Marlo and Aaron will love him my dad,who hasn't met him seems to be worried about the facial hair. Don't worry Brent, you will win him over because you are so wonderful. I of course really like the facial hair and if I have a say he isn't allowed to shave it off.

Yesterday morning I participated in Black Friday, my favorite day of the year. No Brent wasn't even invited to join me. I couldn't have him ruining my fun. On Thursday night I forgot I had driven over to Brent's house prior to heading to Hal's so when he dropped me off I thought someone had stole my car. Once Brent stopped laughing at me and reminded me where it was I calmed down. I was too tired to get my car that night so I picked it up after my shopping yesterday. So the point of my story - When I picked it up my windows were all scrapped, boy did that ever make a great impression on me. He has to be the most thoughtful guy I have ever dated. I think I will have to keep him around.

We both went to the BSU football game last night. He sat in the south end zone with Johnny and Bill and I sat on the 50 yard line upper deck. That was fun, from there I could see everything. I would watch the game and sneak a peak at the SEZ to see my cutie. I actually saw them do a lot of things I thought was pretty funny. Aren't the boys cute.

This morning I joined the Coburns for their famous "oatmeal pancakes," something I not only heard a lot about prior to the experience but was also instructed on the proper way to eat them. I actually really liked them and of course had really fun with everyone sitting around the table. I do wish I had thought to bring a bottle of whip cream and some strawberries just to tease them since it is apparently a mortal sin to deviate from the proper way to eat them. My favorite part of the morning was when I grabbed Brent's leg and he got embarrassed and turned bright red. LOVE THAT!

Well I am driving Brent crazy right now so I better get off this blog... I also better remember to log off so he won't log back on as me again and say wonderful things about himself under my username.

Thanksgiving with the Coburns

Brent made it into town today so meeting the family quickly got on the way. I showed up at his mom's house shortly before 11AM. It went pretty well even though Brent didn't even tell his mom that I was coming over... DORK! Brent's mom covered not knowing I was coming with a very enthusiastic hug before I even got through the door.

Anyway, we drove up to his brother's house for a great Thanksgiving meal and I met some of the family. Meeting all the family might take me a life time considering there are so many of them:) Great meal, lots of fun and they all seemed pretty great. Poor Brent has to meet my dad and one of my brothers on Saturday, hehehe.

I guess at least we have one hurtle over with and they seemed to like me. They definitely enjoyed taking pictures of us, many of which were staged by them. As always I assume the main comment will be they are just so glad to find out that Brent is in fact not gay.

The answer to the poll

Brent sent me a text a little while ago and he is on his way home for Thanksgiving! So say a little prayer that he will make it home safe since it is such a late drive and he has been working all day. Of course this means that he has to meet my dad and one of my brothers this weekend.

In Defense of Boise State

Boise State does not take up that much of the year.

The regular season runs September through the end of November, sometimes the very beginning of December. We get 6-7 home games a year depending on whether or not we play Hawaii at Hawaii. We usually travel to one to two away games a year. December is spent preparing for our Bowl game which takes place in late December or early January. We usually revel in or comiserate our bowl performance into late January. Letter of Intent week occurs in February when all of the High School Seniors sign up to join the team. February contains the NFL combine where our Broncos who have finished up college ball perform at an NFL camp in front of all of the scouts and coaches in order to increase their stock in the NFL draft. In February we also have Pro-Day when our players who didn't get invited to the combine perform drills and other feats of strength in front of NFL scouts and coaches. Spring ball runs from March through April with two scrimmages and culminates in the Blue and Orange Game. The NFL Draft also occurs in April. May through July is usually pretty quiet and drives us crazy. We grow rabid in our anticipation of teh upcoming season. By July, we are rehashing the same conversations, predictions, scenarios and arguments that we've talked about dozens of times before. During this time we scheme on which away games we will go to and also discuss buying a 1970's conversion van for tailgating but we never do get it. August starts Fall Ball with three scrimmages and finally we kick off the season again in September. The fall is teh best time of the year for us and we start getting a spring to our step in late summer.

So as you can see, it doesn't take up that much of our time.

New Poll on the right and a thought

There's a new poll on the right for everyone's voting pleasure.

Also, a thought...

The Stueckle Sky Club would be a great place to have a reception.

Just saying...

Shandy & John - this one is for you

So today after getting a frustrated text from Brent about work and how bad it was going I try to send him back messages of encouragement knowing he wants to come home for Thanksgiving and that work problems are making this difficult. Finally I let him know that if he didn't make it home I understood and know he really did try. Do you know what his reply was... He said he knew he would see me but he doesn't want to miss the game. For a moment there I guess I forgot that his first love is BSU football and not me. He did let me know I was a close second and when the season was over I could move up to first. If he was here I might have had to beaned him upside the head with something for that comment. When you combine spring season with the regular season I think BSU football gets more months of the year than me. hehehe

My .02

I think compatability is less about being exactly the same and more about being supportive of each other. Shandy and I have very different habits and pastimes. I don't scrapbook and she isn't a football fanatic. However, I'm happy that she enjoys scrapbooking and photography and I like looking at what she has created. Likewise, she supports my juvenile obsession with Boise State and shares me with my idiot friends.
It is, however, important to have something you both like to do. Shandy and I have certain TV shows that we like to watch together. We read the same books, sometimes. We try to have date night as often as possible and sometimes that means we have to just have an at-home date.
As a couple, it's healthy to have away time with your friends. For us, it's having a girl's night out once or twice a month, and my football games. On the other hand, we have known some couples that are always away from each other, doing their own thing, and I don't think that's too healthy.
It's all about supporting each other, loving each other for your quirks, and enjoying the differences that you have. Variety is the spice of life.

How compatible must you be?

This will go to show you the power of long distance dating. Since Brent and I seem to date primarily via the phone we have discovered the power of getting to know each other through long hours of conversation every night on the phone. Amazingly this has actually increased our ability to get to know each other since we aren't face to face and must actually communicate.

So the point of this post... how compatible must to people actually be? During Saturdays conversation I came to the realization that Brent actually does pay attention to not only the things I say but the things he sees when he is with me. He mentioned that he noticed my bed is always made when he has been over and wanted to know if that was just because I knew I would have guest (my room can be seen from the living room) or if that was a habit of mine. The truth is I love a well made bed and do make my bed every morning. It turns out that Brent never makes his bed and likes to sleep with the sheets tucked under his feet. Don't worry parents... this information comes from conversation not first hand knowledge, everything is on the up and up here.

Now for those of you that don't know my story I was married for 3 years in my early 20s and have been divorced now for 10 years. My first husband and I weren't compatible at all but I still don't think that a couple has to be completely compatible. Rather I feel that you need to have the same goals and both be centered on the gospel. In other words, I don't think the bed thing is a make or break issue personally but I will leave that up to you married people to comment on.

Too sick for words

You might notices as you read my post today that things might be out of order but you need to understand that I woke up Friday morning around 3AM sicker than I have been in years. While Brent often works as early as 3AM this morning he didn't have to work until 5AM so I waited as I moaned in pain for 4:45AM to roll around so I could text him to try and elicit some sympathy for my sad condition.

Brent did rise to the occasion as well as anyone could from 8 hours away texting and calling me throughout the day. I have to admit when I am not feeling well I often don't think so clearly so his simple suggestions of way to make me feel better were really useful. They might sound simple but the idea to take some Ibuprofen for my fever made a world of difference to help me rest.

I even hit a point in all the yuck where I thought "what the heck am I thinking wanting more children and being willing to inflict morning sickness on myself again." It only last for 24 hours though and I feel pretty good now and I have to admit that I would probably struggle through morning sickness again to have another child, especially if I had a kind husband by my side this time. I guess only time will tell what the Lord holds in store for me in this arena and Brent would be that kind husband. I guess my advice to you all would be to stay tuned to see where this leads us both.

Truth... I don't think so

So our conversation today discussed what a good wife should be in the eyes of Brent Coburn. While I believe that most of Brent's opinions on this subject are utter bunk I guess I will leave that to those of you that know him well to inform me of the validity of these opinions for Brent informed me that it was the job of the hardworking man to come home and sit on the couch and watch TV and eat while the good wife should take care of the house and children. Now anyone that knows me knows this isn't going to be the case if married to me. I am just not into be the maid for my household. While I love to take care of those I love I am not that obedient. I made sure to let Mr. Coburn know that if he is really looking for that he needs to stop calling me.

Now as to not freak any of you concerned citizen out I am pretty sure this was all Brent's idea of a funny. Needless to say he knows where I stand on the subject and we are still even at this moment on the phone together.

I wonder sometimes if he tells me things about himself just to see if I am still going to be interested or not so he can at least minimize the damage that could be done to his heart should he tell me something that is a deal breaker for me. I have to say though, so far I haven't found out anything about the elusive Mr. Coburn that would make me want to stop dating him. In fact I find myself liking him more and more each day. I guess for now he is just stuck with me and the constant text and phone calls that go along with this long distant relationship. I am completely infatuated with Brent and can't wait to see him again... he just thinks he is funny with those silly comments of his.

off to get Karla!

Doesn't he look like a happy man??
Well, he should! He was just walking out the door to pick up Karla & Katie from the airport and I had to get a pic (for the sake of the blog, ya know...).
I have to say that I was quite impressed that he didn't sport the BSU gear (even tho it was a game day) to look extra spiffy for his girl :)
You got you a cute one, Karla!
ps: the first one he did his signature "no smile" photo... and I was like "SMILE!".... looks much better with him being happy :) don't you think?

Forgot

I was half asleep through most of our conversation last night so I really don't have any dish for any of you but I did forget to tell you yesterday about the emails I received from both my dad and step mom. Tuesday morning I received emails from both telling me that they would like to have Brent over for dinner and to see where they live in South Jordan. I thought this was kind of funny. I let Brent know and told them that he could decide what he wanted to do but assured them that they would meet him soon.
Brent didn't go to work today in honor of a sick day so we actually talked a few times off and on throughout the day. It was fun to talk while we were both wide awake for a change. I told Brent why I decided to send the second card to him that you guys know about. At the time I had no idea why I felt I should send that card but today I can honestly say I am so glad I did:)

Wednesday, November 19, 2008

Well Karla was invited but she refused to call in sick like I did. But today I spent the day with my brother Kevin and his friend and we spent the day running firing drills, completely awesome. I was so underdressed for the day I guess I better buy a tac vest, but the guy in the middle runs a gun blog and so now I and Boise State will be more than famous we will be international superstars. It is 10 pm and I have not called Karla. so i am out.

Having to resort to blogging

So I was informed by Brent this morning that I am no longer allowed to call after 9:00 pm because that's when "Karla Time" is. No big deal. I decide to respect their time and so decide to give my BFF (bronco fan forever)a call at 8:00. No answer. Tried twice.

So in conclusion, you suck.

The John

2 Pictures from the cruise

Here are 2 of my favorite pictures from my Disney Cruise. I think the snorkel one is just funny!

Here it goes

First let me remind all of you that I am completely new to blogging so hopefully I'm not too lame!
Anyway, Brent and I talked about the blog briefly last night and how great Shandy is to create this even though we know she is very busy. That discussion lead to the conclusion that we should post things on it since it is about us, created so that the people we know can read what is going on. It was late so hopefully he remembers this conversation and doesn't want to kill me for giving the dish. I am guessing since Katie types better than him that I will probably do more of the posting.
We of course stayed on the phone pretty late again last night until I was really having a hard time staying awake. I would give you a time frame but honestly I am so tired these days when we get off the phone that I just hang it up and go right to sleep.
I honestly believe the Brent loves the blog and the idea that people we know, especially his family and friends can just log on here and hopefully get some of their questions answered instead of him having to respond. I have decided he wants them to know but they don't seem to be asking him many questions, probably due to past experience with getting information out of him. So please, ask away - I will rat him out:)
These days I find that no matter where I am he is generally on my mind and I text him throughout the day and we talk every night... except when I was on vacation. Our conversations come so easily, other than the fact they are cell phone to cell phone and I often can't hear what he says late at night as he mumbles. We easily talk for hours and I have to admit I love the sound of his voice.
We there is something at least. I will try and keep you updated without sounding too much like a love sick teenager. Joh, you are still required to add your post those since they are so funny and will probably lead to more interesting reading than anything I could say.

I found 2 pictures...yay!!!

I have Shandy giving me a crash course on all the basics with pictures, downloading, blogging and let me tell you I'm having too much fun!!
Karla, Katie, the kids and I went to Shoshone Falls in June this year. The car was bit crowded but it was a blast. Hopefully I'll find some more picture for all of you.

Pick Up Lines part deux

A few more gems for Brent to mull over. On a side note, did he try any of the other ones on Saturday or Sunday?

I love you like a fat boy loves cake.

If you were words on a page, you would be fine print.

I'm just a pirate looking for some booty.

Baby did you fart, cause you blow me away!

Girl, you're like a side of good heavens, wrapped up in have mercy, with a side of mmmm................

Do you drink a lot of Snapple? Because you look like you're made from the best stuff on Earth.

Baby, my love for you is like diarrhea..it never ends!

You must be a parking ticket because you got fine written all over you.

You must be leaving on a long trip if you're packing that much booty.

I love the way you move, girl. It's like butter on a bald monkey.

The Draught is Over!

Well, she's back and not a moment to soon. Some random tidbits to keep us satiated.

- Brent bought cologne the other day. He came over prior to picking up Karla and at the risk of sounding like a flaming homosexual, smelled pretty good.

- Brent was dressed rather nicely to pick Karla up. He had a nice dress shirt with a sweater vest and some jeans.

- I conducted some Home Teaching Interviews at the church building this morning. When I got done, I had the pleasure of spotting B&K together in her Sunday School class. They looked very happy together. In fact, I would say that she was positively beaming. Talked to Brent for a few moments. Just a reminder, kids: the Holy Ghost goes to bed at 10:30 pm.

Now we just need to get some good juice from Steph on the other side of things.

Suggested Pick-Up Lines for Karla

If Brent is feeling like he has to really lay on the charm, perhaps he can use some of these gems:

Let's make like a fabric softener and snuggle.

Are you Pentacostal? Cause I'd love to speak in tongues with you.

Baby, I'm like Taco Bell...I'll spice up your night.

You are so hot you make the windows fog.

Dang, sugar! Slow down..I'm diabetic!

Mmm, mmm...You got a behind on you that reminds me of two five pound bags of finely packed sugar and wouldn't you know, I got me a sweet tooth!

You come on strong like a garlic milkshake.

I'm like chocolate pudding, I look like crap but I'm as sweet as can be.

Day 7

Day 7 of the draught....
Stephanie is over (teaching her how to make her own post). conversation of BK is non-existant.

Man, this week is so...

...blah. No juicy gossip from Steph to Shandy to me. No living vicariously through our B&K. Maybe I'll make a poll to pass the time.

Slow times...

Day 6 of "the draught" - Karla's still on vacation. eating lots of yummy food at the buffets and seeing the Carribean! We're jealous.
