This will go to show you the power of long distance dating. Since Brent and I seem to date primarily via the phone we have discovered the power of getting to know each other through long hours of conversation every night on the phone. Amazingly this has actually increased our ability to get to know each other since we aren't face to face and must actually communicate.
So the point of this post... how compatible must to people actually be? During Saturdays conversation I came to the realization that Brent actually does pay attention to not only the things I say but the things he sees when he is with me. He mentioned that he noticed my bed is always made when he has been over and wanted to know if that was just because I knew I would have guest (my room can be seen from the living room) or if that was a habit of mine. The truth is I love a well made bed and do make my bed every morning. It turns out that Brent never makes his bed and likes to sleep with the sheets tucked under his feet. Don't worry parents... this information comes from conversation not first hand knowledge, everything is on the up and up here.
Now for those of you that don't know my story I was married for 3 years in my early 20s and have been divorced now for 10 years. My first husband and I weren't compatible at all but I still don't think that a couple has to be completely compatible. Rather I feel that you need to have the same goals and both be centered on the gospel. In other words, I don't think the bed thing is a make or break issue personally but I will leave that up to you married people to comment on.
Here's the blog dedicated to everyone's high school infatuation with Brent and Karla! Yep.. this will be fun!

in fact I didnt even know she had a bed.
oooh lovin' all of the details!
you're so good at informing us on the little things :)
mama likey :)
The funny thing is I believe Brent is the one that wants people informed most. When I didn't make a post for a few days he kept bugging me about. I had the flu and could barely stand up, of course I didn't write anything.
Not necessarily how compatible but how complimentary. . .and no not giving one a compliment but making up for one's weakness. . .like Brent may be a slob so then it is a good thing you're tidy and make your bed. You compliment each other. . be the strength to counteract the other's weakness. :)
Let's just hope we can stand each other complimenting the other person:) So far so good though.
