Time for an update

Yeah, I have no great title for this one, too many different topics. Like I said I had a lot of fun with Brent's family. We have a few more hours before he meets some of mine and I sure hope they are as friendly as the Coburn's have been too me. While I have no doubt that Marlo and Aaron will love him my dad,who hasn't met him seems to be worried about the facial hair. Don't worry Brent, you will win him over because you are so wonderful. I of course really like the facial hair and if I have a say he isn't allowed to shave it off.

Yesterday morning I participated in Black Friday, my favorite day of the year. No Brent wasn't even invited to join me. I couldn't have him ruining my fun. On Thursday night I forgot I had driven over to Brent's house prior to heading to Hal's so when he dropped me off I thought someone had stole my car. Once Brent stopped laughing at me and reminded me where it was I calmed down. I was too tired to get my car that night so I picked it up after my shopping yesterday. So the point of my story - When I picked it up my windows were all scrapped, boy did that ever make a great impression on me. He has to be the most thoughtful guy I have ever dated. I think I will have to keep him around.

We both went to the BSU football game last night. He sat in the south end zone with Johnny and Bill and I sat on the 50 yard line upper deck. That was fun, from there I could see everything. I would watch the game and sneak a peak at the SEZ to see my cutie. I actually saw them do a lot of things I thought was pretty funny. Aren't the boys cute.

This morning I joined the Coburns for their famous "oatmeal pancakes," something I not only heard a lot about prior to the experience but was also instructed on the proper way to eat them. I actually really liked them and of course had really fun with everyone sitting around the table. I do wish I had thought to bring a bottle of whip cream and some strawberries just to tease them since it is apparently a mortal sin to deviate from the proper way to eat them. My favorite part of the morning was when I grabbed Brent's leg and he got embarrassed and turned bright red. LOVE THAT!

Well I am driving Brent crazy right now so I better get off this blog... I also better remember to log off so he won't log back on as me again and say wonderful things about himself under my username.

I'll need to hear ALL the details later. You'll have to get the recipe for those pancakes. They sound yummy. Have fun tonight with your side of the family & at the movie.

My favorite thing about this post is that all I have to do to impress Karla is scrape her windows. awesome. Now I hope that she gets me a REAL nice ice scraper for Christmas. Cause all she is getting is scraped windows. let it snow!

First let me say do any of you notice that Brent posted his first comment at 3:52AM? I have him explicit instructions before I went home last night that he was to go straight to bed... obviously he doesn't listen to me.

Stephanie - I will definitely call you tomorrow and give you all the details - I know how you like those:)

About the pancakes - I can't give you the recipe or fear of being black balled by the Coburn family but once I learn how to make them I will sure make them for you all. The funny thing to me about the recipe being a secret - I read the recipe on Saturday out of a relief society cookbook that Peggy had submitted it in years ago. Now when did they decide it had to be a secret?

SHANDY - I was able to move the pictures where I wanted them... I am so excited. That was so much easier on my desk top with my mouse compared to Brent's laptop.

That's funny that you don't want Brent to shave because on our family website his brothers/sisters are always telling him to shave his facial hair!!!

I like Brent just the way he is. I would hate him to think he needs to shave just so my dad would like him. Of course after my dad met him he liked him alot dispite the facial hair. The men in my family all shave everyday. I have never seen any of them with facial hair. Maybe they can't grow it, I just don't know.

Having seen both sides, Brent definately needs to keep the goat. He looks silly without it.
