Brent surprised me last night after we finished lighting off fireworks for New Years by asking me to marry him. As you can see he did get down on one knee with a ring and asked me to marry him. 
Yes I am holding a wooden spoon in one hand and a pot in the other hand. Eventually someone commented on this error in judgment and Brent removed them from my hands so i could hug him.
I was most surprised when we were on our way back into the house and he told me that the reason he
came home for Christmas was to ask me to marry him and that he had been planning to propose New Years Eve the whole time.I felt bad when I realized how much I screwed up his plans by getting too involved. I really do need to learn how to be more patient and keep my mouth shut. I love the ring though:)

I am so happy for you Karla!! What a beautiful ring. Brent is a lucky guy, he is getting the best lady as a wife, but I'm sure he knows that. I am so happy to hear that you have found such a great guy. Congratulations!!
YEAH!!!! I am so happy for you and Katie both. . . oh and you too Brent even though I don't know you yet. I hear you are a really great guy and I've never seen Karla more happy, so that alone says a lot.
I so totally called this. Bill even had to admit it. I stated back in November that this would happen in during the Holiday break or in January. He thought I was too premature.
